techniques.

breast implant there is no conclusive evidence that silicon
implant leakage or inserting the silicon implant, increases
the risk of breast cancer or other diseases.
The High Cohesive Silicon Implant
The latest generation of silicone implants are called the
solid or high cohesive implant; these breast implants have
several layers to their shell and a semi solid gel that
reduces the risk of rupture and silicon migration. The
cohesive silicone gel implant leaves the breast feeling
natural after insertion.
The Saline Breast Implant
The saline implant is manufactured with thick vulcanised
shells. The shells are made of silicone elastomer, and are
filled with saline “salt water” after the plastic surgeon
has inserted the implant. As the saline breast implant is
empty when inserted, the scar is smaller than is necessary
for silicone gel implants where the implant is already
filled with silicone before surgery. Should a saline breast
implant rupture it will deflate rapidly, and the saline
“salt water” would be absorbed by the body. If a saline
breast implant ruptures it is considered safer, than the
rupturing of the silicon implant.

saline breast implants are more likely to cause cosmetic
